Should Home Offices Be Homey?

I found that video and posted it to the community today. I like the pictures of home offices that she shows at the end, but I am not sure I agree with her on the emphasis needed in a home office.

She contends that a home office should have some comfortable, homey elements, that will bring it into line with the rest of the home.

I have to disagree. A home office is by its very nature and location homey. This is the pervading nature of the space. If anything, a home office should try and distance itself from the rest of the structure, in order to allow you to maintain professionalism, and not get bogged down in household chores such as cleaning and repairs.

I would be happy to entertain any thoughts you might have on this matter
